Strap this onto sex-ed
25/01/2010
I was one of those good attentive students that really paid attention in school (sex-ed included). By the time I graduated I was formed by scare you into safe-sex tactics, the socialization and erasure of young female desire turned into shame that my little proto-feminist self was super interested in Betty Dodson and The Joy of Sex. I could talk about sex with 70s feminist and 90s safe sex styles and imagined sex only in the line drawings of the aforementioned books but when it actually came to sex and acting on my desire well I had no clue how to do it or what to do. My left side brain could go a lot further than my body or my imagination. I was scared to explore the carnal and could not imagine it was possible to integrate it with all the things I was learning.
I really wish I had seen videos like this.
The video was made for yagg.com by Émilie Jouvet and stars Judy Minx. Very cool people.

Well the ones we watched in school were not that bad. But I do have a memory about the characters in the sex ed video I saw in Grade 6 levitating when they had sex, shooting a baby through the air and then the girl falling back to the ground when she caught herpes.
